Microsoft had originally planned to release the Surface Earbuds last year before they were delayed. It took more time to "get all the details right".
The price positions the Surface Earbuds under the Apple Airpods Pro for $ 249, but over cheaper alternatives like the Amazon Echo Buds for $ 139 and the Samsung Galaxy Buds for $ 110.
Surface earbuds have touch sensors on each earbud that can be used to control music and calls using touches and gestures. offer 24 hours of battery life with a corresponding carrying case; and integration with Office 365 for voice control and related functions.
Microsoft's Surface Headphones 2, available on May 12 for $ 249, promise better sound quality and battery life. In addition to the previous gray, there is a new black color option and the ability to rotate the ear cups 180 degrees to make wearing the neck easier.
The company's Surface Go hybrid tablet / laptop has long been aimed at educational and mobile workers and is in competition with Google Chromebooks and other cheaper laptops. The new Surface Go 2 has a larger display (10.5 inches), better battery life and other features that could appeal to people who work and study from home during the COVID 19 crisis. It will be available on May 12 for $ 399.
At the other end of the spectrum, the company describes its new Surface Book 3, which is due to be released on May 21 and is described by the company as the most powerful notebook ever. It offers up to 32 GB of RAM and is available in 13.5 and 15 inch displays. The price is between $ 1,600 and $ 2,700 depending on the configuration.
